Every teacher listed here completed the Transcendental Meditation teacher training of Maharishi Foundation International and is approved by Stichting Maharishi Vedisch Instituut to teach in the Netherlands.

What this register is

Transcendental Meditation is taught only in person, by a certified teacher. There is no app version, no self-study version and no licence for third parties. This register lists the teachers who currently teach TM in the Netherlands, so that anyone, whether a prospective student, a company doctor or an employer, can check a name. Stichting Maharishi Vedisch Instituut, the non-profit that provides TM instruction in the Netherlands, maintains the register. Teachers who stop teaching are removed.

Admission criteria

A teacher appears in this register only when all five conditions are met.

  1. Completed the TM teacher training course of Maharishi Foundation International: five months in residence.
  2. Holds the TM teacher certificate issued by Maharishi Foundation International.
  3. Approved by Stichting Maharishi Vedisch Instituut to teach in the Netherlands.
  4. Teaches the standard TM course: personal one-to-one instruction followed by three consecutive sessions, with lifelong follow-up at no extra cost afterwards.
  5. Currently active: gives introductory talks or courses at one of the TM centres.
